We are looking for a Storyteller to join our incredible all-female team at Coral Catch! This is a dream opportunity for someone passionate about storytelling, conservation, and community building. You’ll play a crucial role in bringing our vision to life, helping us grow our online community, and amplifying our mission of empowering women to protect and restore the coral reefs of Indonesia.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the founder to create compelling content that resonates with our growing global audience. Your work will help strengthen connections within the Coral Catch Sisterhood, raise awareness about our impact, and tell the story of the incredible women we empower. About the role

Every coral, every woman, and every conservation effort has a story to tell. As our Storyteller, you’ll capture these moments and transform them into powerful narratives that inspire and unite our global community of ocean champions. Here’s an overview of your key responsibilities, though the role offers room for creative growth and initiative.

Content Creation

• Produce and edit high-quality visual content (photo, video, design) across various platforms. 

• Keep our photo and video library up to date and organized.

• Assist the founder in creating templates, booklets, and other marketing materials, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.

• Plan and execute seasonal or thematic campaigns (e.g., Hari Kartini, Earth Day, World Oceans Day).

• Write and design monthly newsletters to engage stakeholders and the community 

• Share behind-the-scenes stories to humanize and highlight Coral Catch’s work.

Community Engagement

• Keep Coral Catch ambassadors, partners, sponsors, and superwomen up to date about our work and achievements.

• Strengthen connections within the Coral Catch Sisterhood by sharing opportunities, knowledge, and inspiration.

• Grow our online community on Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn by actively engaging with our followers and building meaningful relationships.

Media Outreach

• Collaborate with at least 1 influencer per month to amplify our reach and gather media assets.

• Ensure a minimum of 2 articles about Coral Catch are published in prestigious magazines each month.

• Maintain and update the Coral Catch press kit to reflect the latest achievements.

• Build and manage a media contact database of journalists, editors, and outlets.

• Pitch guest blogs or opinion pieces to high-traffic websites and industry platforms.

• Partner with local and global organizations for co-branded storytelling campaigns.

Funding & Sponsorships

• Transform Superwomen into brand ambassadors.

• Scout funding and award opportunities.

• Assist the founder in securing 2 new sponsors by the end of 2025 (preferably one Indonesian company) to commit to sponsoring one batch per year until 2030.

• Assist the founder with applications by creating tailored videos or pictures for specific applications.

Instagram Tasks

• Produce a minimum of 2 reels per week showcasing key moments, success stories, or conservation efforts.

• Engage with followers through comments and messages to foster community building.

• Track performance using Instagram insights and adjust content strategies to increase engagement and growth.

• Promote special events like the Coral Catch Conference and key initiatives via Instagram posts and stories.

TikTok Tasks

• Create short-form videos that engage, educate, and entertain the audience about Coral Catch’s work in coral reef restoration and women’s empowerment.

• Post 3-5 times a week, ensuring consistent visibility on the platform.

• Use trending sounds and challenges to amplify awareness and reach a wider audience.

• Collaborate with conservation or female empowerment TikTok creators to promote Coral Catch’s mission.

• Monitor TikTok analytics to track the performance of each video and adapt strategies for maximum impact.

• Promote campaigns and events, such as the Coral Catch Conference or environmental awareness days (e.g., Earth Day), using relevant hashtags and engaging content.

• Build the TikTok community by interacting with followers, responding to comments, and participating in trends and challenges.

LinkedIn Tasks:

• Build and grow Coral Catch’s professional network by connecting with industry leaders, potential sponsors, and key stakeholders in conservation and women’s empowerment.

• Post regular updates on Coral Catch’s milestones, success stories, and relevant industry news.

• Share and engage with articles from reputable sources related to coral reef restoration and women in marine conservation to build credibility and brand presence.

• Publish thought leadership content such as articles, blogs, or insights about Coral Catch’s work and the importance of empowering women in marine conservation.

• Monitor LinkedIn analytics to track engagement and adjust content strategy accordingly.

• Develop partnerships by reaching out to potential sponsors, collaborators, and ambassadors via LinkedIn messaging and connections.

• Promote Coral Catch’s accomplishments and initiatives by sharing press coverage, achievements, and upcoming events to increase brand visibility.

Requirements

Our perfect storyteller is both a skilled creative and a passionate advocate for change. You’ll need the technical expertise to capture compelling content, the cultural awareness to share stories authentically, and the heart to truly understand why these stories matter. While we value professional experience, we’re equally excited by candidates who bring fresh perspectives and genuine enthusiasm to our mission.

• Excellent skills in photography, videography, editing, writing, and Canva (and other design tools)

• Fluency in English, speaking Bahasa Indonesia is a big plus

• Strong ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the founder and program manager

• A passion for storytelling and a deep commitment to marine conservation and community empowerment

•Experience with social media management and community building

• Strong intercultural communication skills

• Valid diving certification 

While we prioritize local talent whenever possible, this position is open to candidates from all backgrounds who share our vision for marine conservation and women’s empowerment. Work permit sponsorship is available for international candidates.
